The Designing Of Demonic Art Designs
![]()
Today I would like to draw attention to some great ways of generating some quality creature sketches of demons, as this is my favourite creature to draw quite often, the exact process of how to draw a demon is quite fascinating to me.
Method One: Simple Sketching
Starting out with small planned drawings that illustrate your ideas, these are called thumbnails and they serve as a progressional art tool for drafting your designs so that they will look good later on down the road.
Method Two: Developing Your Art Further
When it comes to furthering your arts design, you build on your draft ideas and concepts by thinking of further detail and study of a demons head, maybe making a profile page with a full body sketch and then a head sketch in the right hand corner of your paper.
This serves as a reference for you as the artist to refer bck to, maybe you want to add colour notes and special design notes, so you know what design your drawing need to follow.
Method Three: Form And Structure
This is defined in the colour stage, the area of adding shading or a colour washes to the finished piece of art, I would look at the light sources or where you want the light sources to come from, this will help your drawings or designs have more form to them.
Also if you want to you could ink the outline of your drawing and black in the dark areas to simplify the process of your light source.

Did your post get cut off in mid-sentence, or is it just me? What you’ve got looks good, though.
You might like one of my pieces from about a year ago–Akhterim, the fate-twisting demon-spider, or “What happened when I got very, very bored on lunch-break and the commute home”. http://s81.photobucket.com/albums/j222/Ravyn_gawi/?action=view¤t=WarpsTheWeftColor.jpg
Oh yeah I forgot to re-save when I published, just getting to grips with wordpress as I am more used to blogger, but hey!
Oh by the way that spider demon is ace, I like all the colours and design elements that went into that one, you should get a squidoo account if you don’t already have one and make a few lenses about your art.
Excellent!
